The survey results show that the KPK is the lowest law enforcement officer trusted by the public.
The Executive Director of Indonesian Political Indicators, Burhanudin Muhtadi, reports the results of his survey on the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
The survey results show that the KPK is the lowest law enforcement officer trusted by the public.
"The KPK among law enforcement agencies has the lowest level of trust," said Burhanudin Muhtadi in the release of his survey, Wednesday (8/6/2022).
Based on the survey results, 86.2 percent of the public still believe in the Indonesian National Army (TNI). Meanwhile, the president's confidence level is below the TNI or 73.3 percent. Followed by the Indonesian National Police (Polri) with 66.6 percent.
Next, there is the Attorney General's Office with 60.5 percent, the Court with 60.1 percent and the KPK with 59.8 percent. Under the KPK are the MPR, DPD, DPR and political parties.
"So the most trusted institution, the first to third ranks have not changed, the TNI, the President, the Police, what has changed is the Attorney General's Office," said Burhanudin again.
Public trust in the KPK has decreased compared to the previous survey or in April 2022. At that time, the KPK's level of trust was still above the Attorney General's Office.
At that time, the KPK was still trusted by 70.2 percent of the public to be above the attorney general's office. Although, the two institutions actually get a similar level of trust, the KPK is considered superior from the level of distrust.
"The Attorney General's Office in the previous survey was in eighth position, in the May survey it rose to fourth. KPK is under the Attorney General's Office, the courts and the police," he said.
The Political Indicator Survey was conducted using the random digit dialing (RDD) method with a sample of 1,213 respondents. The selection of respondents was done randomly. The margin of error in this survey is approximately 2.9 percent at the 95 percent confidence level.
Responding to the results of the Political Indicators survey, KPK Chair Firli Bahuri appreciates whatever the survey results are.
"We respect whatever the result is, but it will not reduce our performance, we will continue to guard it in the context of eradicating corruption," said Firli after a closed working meeting with Commission III of the DPR, Wednesday (8/6/2022). (ipi, between)
