To Putin, Jokowi emphasized that the war must end immediately
President Jokowi revealed that he had communicated with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday (28/4) night. During the telephone conversation, Jokowi and Putin discussed the ongoing war situation between Ukraine and Russia.
To Putin, Jokowi emphasized that the war must end immediately and a peaceful solution to the issues of the two countries can continue to be put forward.
Jokowi also revealed Putin's readiness to attend the G20 Summit which will be held in November 2022 in Bali.
"On this occasion, President Putin expressed his gratitude for the invitation to the G20 summit and he said he would attend," he said.
Furthermore, Jokowi said the G20 forum has an important role as a catalyst in the recovery of the world economy. According to him, the current world economic recovery is influenced by two things, namely the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukraine-Russia conflict. (Setpres, antara)
