China is Indonesia's strategic partner and the two countries have succeeded in mutually beneficial cooperation.

Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi stated that President Joko Widodo held a bilateral meeting with Premier Li Keqiang of the People's Republic of China (PRC) at Villa 5, Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Beijing, Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

President Jokowi was greeted by Premier Li upon arrival and immediately took a group photo. After that, President Jokowi and Premier Li and their respective delegations went to the meeting room.

President Jokowi delivered his remarks and said that China is Indonesia's strategic partner and the two countries have succeeded in filling the partnership with mutually beneficial cooperation.

"In the meeting with Premier Li, I hope we can discuss various cooperations, especially in the fields of trade, investment, infrastructure, finance, funding, and maritime," said President Jokowi.

The President added that the value of trade between Indonesia and China continues to increase and has already exceeded USD 100 billion. President Jokowi hopes that this cooperation can continue to be improved.

During the meeting, the PRC expressed a commitment to increase imports of 1 million tons of CPO from Indonesia. In addition, China prioritizes imports of agricultural products from Indonesia.
