President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) also welcomed the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan 1443 Hijri. President Jokowi also wished all Muslims a happy fasting month of Ramadan.
"I want to say Marhaban, Ramadan, happy fasting for the month of Ramadan 1443 Hijri. Sorry to be born and inner heart," said Jokowi in his statement, Saturday (2/4/2022).
Jokowi said that although it was still in a pandemic atmosphere, thanks to the hard work of all parties, the COVID-19 cases in Indonesia could be controlled. Therefore, this year's Ramadan, Muslims can worship a little more freely.
"You can perform the obligatory prayers and the Tarawih prayers in congregation at the mosque," he added.
In addition, in this year's Ramadan, Jokowi also allows the public if they want to travel home before Lebaran later.
Towards Eid al-Fitr, it is also permissible for you, ladies and gentlemen, who want to go home, so they can reunite with their parents, relatives, and beloved family back home," he added.
